BEGOÑA KREGO

Born in Santurtzi (Basque Country).

Diploma in Classical Dance by the Drama and Dance Conservatory of Valencia (Spain).

She is trained in different contemporary dance techniques with Peter Goos, Saburo Tesiwaguara, Carmen Werner, Cesc Gelabert and David Zambrano among others. She is also trained in flamenco dance with Elvira de Andrés, creative dance with Eric Tharmes, african dance with Koffi Koko and afro-cuban with Arnaldo Patterson.

As actress, she’s received workshops in clown, voice, improvisation…

Pilates Mat Work instructor certified by Body Intelligent (director: Gideon Avrahami).

Trained in Sanatana Dharma Yoga.

As choreographer and dancer, she’s been part of the following shows: “Bilbao-Bilbao”, “Okupado” (Karraka company), “The Witch and Robison Crusoe” (Madrid’s Comic Opera), “Tira del hilo” and “Animaliak” (La dinamika company), “Pendragon’s sword”, “Txubascos”, “In the back shop”, “Black sheep”, “Left-handed” etc… with Traspasos, Forros, Con Buen Pie, Matxalen Bilbao, Organik and La Dinamika companies, under the direction of Mikel Gómez de Segura, Luke Tagua, Natalia Monge, Ramón Barea…

She created several solos: “Short Change”, “Sphere” and “In my dream”.

The last productions have been the location piece “Así y restar” (Premiered in BAD Festival in 2011) and the children’s piece “Spaceko Zarama” (Premiered in Santurtzi in 2013).

As actress, she’s worked for Arriaga Theater productions and Karraka, Gaitzerdi, Hortzmuga, and other companies.

As pedagogue, she has a long and extensive record as contemporary dance teacher and pilates instructor in numerous schools. She collaborates as physical theater trainer for different theater companies too.

MARIA MARTIN

Began her classical dance studies in Aikoa Dance Studio in Santurtzi (Basque Country).

Classical Dance Diploma by the Music and Dance Conservatory of San Sebastián (2002).

She continued her contemporary dance training with Bego Krego, Matxalen Bilbao, Blanca Arrieta… and further in London, New York, Luxembourg…

In 2004 she obtains the dance scholarship from the Education and Culture Ministry of Spain and moves to Brussels (Belgium), where she traines with Iñaki Azpillaga (Ultima Vez company), Joanne Leighton (Velvet company), Jason Beechey (Charleroi Danses), Germán Jáuregui, Marielle Morales (Mala Hierba company) among others.

She works as dancer for the following companies:

Mala Hierba (Brussels), La Dinamika (Bilbao) with “Tira del hilo” and “Animaliak”, Matxalen Bilbao with “Haiku”, Organik company with “Malditas” and “In Corpore Sano”, Krego-Martín Danza in “Así y restar”, Ester Forment (Barcelona)…

She also participates twice as choreographer and dancer in the International Choreographic Competition of Maspalomas and Madrid.

She is the co-founder of Krego-Martín Danza, together with Bego Krego. The company started its life in March 2013, with the premiere of “Spaceko Zarama”, subsidized by the Basque Government.
